Chris Alam Plumbing and Heating was established in 2003. Chris started out as an apprentice plumbing and heating engineer in June 1986, straight from leaving school. During his apprenticeship Chris gained his city and guilds craft and advanced craft certificates.  He then went on to work and gain his experience with various established  plumbing and heating companies.  It was due to an increased amount of enquires, from recommendations, that he decided it was time to set up his own business.

To this day with continuing recommendations from highly satisfied customers, along with Chris Alam's experience and knowledge, you can be confident you will be receiving  an outstanding level of service.

Chris has just completed our bathroom, en suite and downstairs loo. Can’t recommend Chris enough. His work is of a really high standard and his attention to detail is superb and such a tidy worker. He is always punctual and does exactly what he says he will. If he can help or offer advice he always will which is really helpful. Chris is a brilliant plumber. He fitted our boiler about 10 years ago and has always provided an excellent service. So when we wanted to transform our old worn out bathroom we didn’t hesitate to contact Chris. We got other quotes but Chris was the most competitive and we trusted him. We got rid of our old corner bath and Chris fitted a new walk in shower. His work is of a very high standard and would not hesitate recommending him to others.

Chris installed my old Worcester boiler nearly 15 years ago and when, after years of trouble-free operation it eventually reached the end of it’s life, I was delighted to find he was still available to fit a new one. As before the quality of the work was excellent, the whole job being completed in a few hours with no fuss. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

Apologies for the overdue delay in writing this review. Chris is a brilliant professional plumber! He promptly changed our old boiler and changed few radiator components. Very courteous, and efficient. Everything works really well now and certainly have noticed increased in heating efficiency. Will certainly recommend him to others.

Chris supplied and fitted a Worcester Bosch system boiler to replace our old one that was on it’s last legs. From first speaking to Chris to final installation he (and assistant Rhys) gave an excellent service and I was well pleased with the new boiler and that they got all of our radiators working to their maximum when before half were hardly getting warm. I would definitely recommend Chris to anyone.

Chris was excellent from start to finish. You get what you pay for. Boiler new and relocation along with replacing microbore and rads in 5 rooms with additional pipes for hit and cold from bathroom to garage. Great comms. Punctual tidy and polite . My daughter is now using him as well. Thanks Chris.

From getting a quote to the actual install Chris was very polite and professional. Chris turned up everyday exactly on time and got on with the job straight away. He always ensured that he consulted me whenever a decision was to be made to make sure I was happy with what he was doing. He did a great job at making sure that everything was tidied away at the end of each day and cleared up after himself once the job was done.

This is the third job Chris has done for us, he fitted a boiler in our previous house and he replaced the boiler in our new house and sorted out the central heating system which was a mess. He has just completed a wet room for us and we are extremely pleased with it. He has done an excellent job, he works hard arrives on time and is a very organised and neat worker. He always clears up at the end of each day. He is very helpful when decisions have to be made. We would not hesitate in recommending Chris if you want a professional job at competitive rates.

Chris has replaced and moved my boiler,serviced my boiler, redirected pipe work, installed new radiators, new pipework, removed an old gas fire etc etc. As you can tell the jobs he has done are many ,this is because he is one of the most knowledgable, helpful and honest people I have had the pleasure to meet and I wouldn’t use any one else. Chris installed a new boiler and central heating system in March 2018. We found him to be extremely professional, reliable and very knowledgeable. He was able to discreetly install pipework under the floor, unlike suggestions from other plumbers who quoted. He also agreed to update our bathroom while installing a new shower. He was very clean and tidy and caused minimum disruption throughout his time working at our home. He always arrived on time and the work was carried out to schedule. We are delighted with the heating system and would highly recommend Chris to anyone needing a new boiler. We will definitely be using him again for further work needed to our house.

First class service from Chris who guided us through every step of our boiler exchange explaining in detail all options. Agreed on which boiler to have, the price and fixed a date. Chris arrived as arranged on time and got right on with the installation which was up and running by the afternoon. All controls fully explained, all packaging along with old boiler and even the spoil from the condensing soakaway taken away. The central heating system was flushed and set up the next day. The work was completed well within the arranged time and everything left neat and tidy. Chris is a very pleasant and professional worker that I would highly recommend.

I have no hesitation in recommending Chris to fit a new bathroom. Ours needed stripping back to bare walls and he organised the electrician ,plasterer and tiler for us. This meant minimum disruption and no hold ups. The quality of work was great , Chris installed a new boiler for us 3 years ago and has maintained it since. I would highly recommend Chris for any plumbing and heating work.

We used Chris after getting several quotes form local plumbers for a pretty big job. Installing new boiler to a new position, associated pipework and also a new cylinder. We were also planning an extension at the time and Chris was the only quote that got in the loft to suss out where new pipework would need to go to avoid an RSJ.

Like the other 2 reviews on the site he was always on time which is something that I’m quite particular about and was always very tidy, ensuring everything was cleaned up as he went along.

I don’t get the chance to recommend many tradespeople as not many have impressed me but I would recommend Chris to anybody that needed a competent, professional and friendly plumber.
